This aroma hop is the result of a cross between Nugget and USDA 21110M. Its name, "Triumph", is not just a nod to its superiority over other experimental hop varieties in both cultivation and brewing but also reflects Hennings' personal affinity for Triumph brand motorcycles. Released in 2019 after almost twenty years of development, Triumph hops are a proud offering from the USDA's public hop breeding program. Its lineage traces back to a blend of East Kent Golding, Hallertau Mittelfrüh, Nugget, and Brewers Gold. While Triumph is versatile enough to enhance less hoppy lagers, it truly shines when used in generous amounts, revealing delightful notes of lime, orange, and peach.
