Profile

Styrian Wolf hops, a relatively new addition to the Styrian hop family, were developed by the Slovenian Institute of Hop Research and Brewing in Žalec, where it was bred as a cross between European and American hop lineages. Not only does this hop variety boast a high alpha content, making it suitable for bittering, but its aroma characteristics truly set it apart. Dominant aromas of mango, lemon, and lemongrass are particularly pronounced, attributed to its high oil content. This potency renders Styrian Wolf an ideal choice for contemporary, fruit-centric beer styles such as Pale Ales, IPAs, DIPAs, NEIPAs, Belgian Ales, and hop-forward lagers.
