Profile

BSI's Scotch Ale (A-78) is a liquid ale yeast with high attenuation and flocculation levels. It has an alcohol tolerance of up to 8.5%, making it an ideal choice for strong ales, particularly Scotch Ales. The ideal fermentation temperature range for this yeast is 13.0-21.0°C, allowing brewers to make a flavorful beer without having to worry about temperatures that are too hot or cold. While the flavour profile can vary depending on the beer style, this strain will generally produce a malty sweetness with notes of caramel and dark fruit, as well as a hint of smokiness.
