Opshaug Kveik Ale (WLP518) from White Labs is a liquid ale yeast strain that produces high levels of attenuation (75.0%) and flocculation (medium). This yeast strain has a medium alcohol tolerance and an ideal fermentation temperature of 25.0-30.0 °C. It is suitable for brewing a variety of beer styles, such as pale ales, IPAs, saisons, sours, and Belgian ales. When used in beer making, the strain will give off flavors of clove, pear, tropical fruits, and citrus. The final product will have a smooth balance of malt sweetness and hop bitterness with an underlying hint of fruity esters throughout.
